Sacramento man pleads no contest in loan modification fraud case

In the following press release Sacramento District Attorney Jan Scully announced today that 50 year-old Ashik Ahmed Azeez of Sacramento pled no contest to three counts of mortgage fraud.

Azeez operated the businesses Turbo Mortgage Modification and Turbo Solutions, which offered mortgage loan modification services. From March to October of 2010, he demanded and accepted illegal advance fees from seven victims.

Under the plea agreement, Azeez was ordered to serve 90 days in county jail and was placed on 3 years of probation. He was also ordered to pay $8,250 in restitution to the victims, and is prohibited from engaging in any business activity involving real estate while on probation.

This matter was investigated and prosecuted by the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office Real Estate Fraud Unit.

The FairOaks Patch reports that according to Sacramento Superior Court records, he was facing 23 counts for his involvement in a loan modification business that illegally siphoned advance service fees from seven victims, including individuals with properties in Fair Oaks and Carmichael.
